Telemedicine During and After COVID-19

Telemedicine has emerged as an essential tool that allows healthcare providers to continuing seeing patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Governments around the world have worked to promote utilization of telehealth to keep their citizens healthy and at home while hospitals and other healthcare facilities face an influx of COVID-19 patients. From issuing waivers, expanding coverage options and reimbursement, and temporarily removing some technology and privacy constraints that have historically limited telehealth adoption, the regulatory response to make telehealth more accessible has been swift. McDermott’s team is closely watching the evolving legal landscape and has prepared videos, webinars, articles and other resources to help your organization comply with these changing standards and implement telehealth solutions.
